Introduction to Photoshop
1 Day Course

The course covers the key aspects of Photoshop, focussing on the tools and techniques used in everyday digital imaging. The fundamental processes of image manipulation are covered including selection techniques, transformations, painting and colouring, retouching and image correction techniques. The course also includes sessions on Layers, the most important filters and how to add type to an image.

Because the course is totally “hands on” and uses real images – good and bad – to practice on, at the end of the course you will be able to perform basic image manipulation tasks with confidence.

The course is available using the latest CS3 software (standard version, not Extended), or the previous version CS2, bothing running on a PC.

This course is suitable for anybody who wants a basic understanding of the most important and useful aspects of Photoshop. However, participants should be aware that a 1 day course can only really scratch the surface of what Photoshop has to offer.

The course would also suit anybody thinking of purchasing Photoshop CS3 but wants to see if it is the right choice for them before making the commitment.

Participants should have basic Mac or PC skills including: launching an application; creating, naming and saving documents; navigating folders to locate a specific file. No prior experience of using Photoshop is required.
