Introduction to Photoshop
1 Day Course
Course Description
The course covers the key aspects of Photoshop, focussing on the tools and techniques used in everyday digital imaging. The fundamental processes of image manipulation are covered including selection techniques, transformations, painting and colouring, retouching and image correction techniques. The course also includes sessions on Layers, the most important filters and how to add type to an image.
Because the course is totally “hands on” and uses real images – good and bad – to practice on, at the end of the course you will be able to perform basic image manipulation tasks with confidence.
The course is available using either CS3 software (standard version, not Extended), or the previous version CS2, both running on a PC. There is no 1 Day course available using CS4.

Who Should Attend
This course is suitable for anybody who wants a basic understanding of the most important and useful aspects of Photoshop. However, participants should be aware that a 1 day course can only really scratch the surface of what Photoshop has to offer.
The course would also suit anybody thinking of purchasing Photoshop but wants to see if it is the right choice for them before making the commitment.
Prerequisites
Participants should have basic Mac or PC skills including: launching an application; creating, naming and saving documents; navigating folders to locate a specific file. No prior experience of using Photoshop is required.
Price
The price for this course is £225 (as the 1 Day Photoshop courses are not scheduled, the price charged assumes they will be on a one-to-one basis).
What’s Included in the Price?
- The price includes over 80 pages of superbly detailed course notes which are provided for you to take away on CD. A paper copy in a quality ring binder is available for an additional cost of £20 and can be purchased, if required, during the course.
- Telephone and/or email support after the course on any topic covered during the course for as long as required.
- A light lunch is provided and refreshments are always available.
Course Dates
