Adobe Photoshop Training Courses
Adobe Photoshop is the industry leading image manipulation software package for professionals and consumers involved in digital imaging, graphic and web design, photography and video. However, the power of Photoshop is often hidden behind complex menus, made worse by the fact that any given task can usually be achieved from different menus and, indeed, in a number of different ways. For the inexperienced user this can mean more time spent searching how to achieve a task rather than actually doing it. A training course delivered by somebody who knows from experience the best way to achieve each task will enable you to discover the power of Photoshop without the complexity.
Course Outline
This 2 day course, set at the Beginner/Intermediate level and slanted towards photographers, covers many aspects of using Photoshop, as well as some digital imaging basics such as file formats, resolution and colour management. Day 1 concentrates on many of the basics of using Photoshop, including setting up the workspace, zooming in and out of an image and using the History panel for multiple levels of "undo". It then focuses on how to make "selections", looking at the many different tools available, and the use of layers, starting with a simple explanation and working through to more advanced topics such as layer masks and adjustment layers. Day 2 begins by looking at the many different methods of making colour and tonal corrections to an image and then at ways of retouching an image, using techniques such as cloning, healing, dodging and burning. There are brief sessions looking at filters, transforming images and adding text. The course concludes by working with the RAW dialog box, looking at Adobe Bridge and some of the issues surrounding making high quality prints.
This intensive course is totally "hands on" and uses real images – good and bad – to practice on, so that at the end of the course you will be fully prepared to tackle even the most daunting tasks in your own environment.
